We're in the Money!

One of the very first things we did upon arrival into India was to convert United States dollar bills into Indian Rupees.  I gave the attendant $7.84 and this is what I got in return.  So who's money is more valuable?  Our dollar or the Indian Rupee?  Can you figure out the converstion rate?  I'm giving away dojo points again!

I'm leaving on a jet plane....

To get to Bangalore I had to first fly to Washington DC and then to Frankfurt Germany where I changed planes one final time.  I left Pitsburgh at 2:30PM on Saturday and arrived in Bangalore India at 4:00PM (your time) on Sunday. 5 Dojo points to the first person who can use their math skills to figure out how many hours it took me to get to India!

Its almost time to go.

Before I left Pittsburgh for my month long venture to India I went for a long run, cuddled with my dog, and packed a jar of peanutbutter.  Warhol wonders: what do you think you would miss if you were going to be away from home for a whole month?

Um, Hello!  My name is Andy. I was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1928 .  My parents named me Andrew Warhola but during my climb to fame a New York Times writer misspelled my last name by leaving off an a.  I decided I liked the sound of the new spelling so I kept it and now the world knows me as the great artist Andy Warhol.  If you live in Pittsburgh too, you may have noticed Warhola recycling and scrapping centers around the city.   That’s my family!   But you can get to know me better by visiting The Warhol Museum on the North Side of Pittsburgh. My museum is filled with bright colors and vibrant energy.  The museum is where I got to know Ms. Doyle, the very amazing art teacher from Propel Montour.  Ms. Doyle likes art history and was visiting my museum to learn more about my invention, Pop Art.  It was there that she shared with me her approaching trip to India and I wondered…. What can I collect in a place like India?  You see, I love to collect things! So then it was decided, I will travel with this wonderful art teacher and together we will wonder, discover, and collect!  Have you ever wondered what things are the same or what things are different about places you have never been to? What do you wonder about India?  Maybe we can help you.  Post a comment with your wonders below then Ms. Doyle and I will do our best to answer your questions with pictures, blogs, and videos.
